A TIP ON CONCLUSION
Well, actually, I recommend you guys to write your final (or ultimate) opinion on the subject in the conclusion, instead of just summarizing your points. For example, if you are writing about the benefits of coffee and explained about various types of advantages coffee gives you in the body paragraphs, you should say what you think about coffee in the last paragraph. You can do this by recommending other people to do the action mentioned in the topic ( in this case, you can conclude by saying “Therefore, I think you should drink it.”), or by giving a statement of neutralism ( such as saying “However, since coffee has lots of caffeine, you should only drink it to a certain extent).8
Thanks for goof tips1

어 중계브랜치 학생이네? 을지초? 가깝네 ㅋㅋㅋ 난 불암초 졸업했고 중계중 학생이야 ㅋㅋ 나도 중계브랜치인데.. 안녕1
As it is ‘personal’ essay, I recomend students to write about their experiences and emotions as well, not only about books. I’m a student though, but I saw lots of other friends do not giving weight on their personal experiences and blaming about their lower test scores than they expected after test.2
I checked which part of their essay were wrong, and most of them were about the relevance between details and personal experiences. The essay should involve any emotional expressions or experiences that we had to give an order of what this type of essay requires us for.
Oops, recomend➡recommend! Mistake ;q1
I think so. They always write about books, not their “PERSONAL” experiences.2
Yeah true, huge mistake to make for ‘level up’ test right? it’s such a big test to take… they should know at least which things they’re supposed to write for these big tests.2
Yeah I feel very uncomfortable when I take level up test1
I see that you are an elementary student at your information. Erm… which level are you in? I’m middle schooler and might give you some advices.2

I find that students have a tendency to default to an TOEFL style of writing whenever they are given a task of writing an essay, whatever style it is supposed to be. I would encourage teachers to really emphasize that this is a PERSONAL essay. It should be descriptive; filled with emotions, adjectives and adverbs. I should feel what the writer feels when I read it. It definitely should not be dry and formulaic like a TOEFL independent writing response.7
I will use these tips. Thanks.3
For Week 7, please really try to use the last page of the semi-book of the Tree and writing about a place that makes me smile. It helps prepare students to more descriptive with their language, to use their five senses to talk about their experiences, rather than everything being one dimensional. Also, this page helps students reflect on their personal experience through their emotions. How did they feel? What did they learn from their experience? What kind of advice would they offer?
Also, I would really like to recommend guiding them through what the structure of their essay should look like CLEARLY. Brainstorm some ideas with the students and show them how they can organize their information into an essay.
-Go over structure: what kind of information do they need to include?
-Support with Personal Experiences: how can they support their essay with (a) personal experience(s) or story?
If students say they don’t have any experiences to write about, something that I always suggest to them is to LIE in a BELIEVABLE way.7
Me too OK1
The thing is that we need to understand what the meaning is and try to think about how you are going to make the readers interesting.1
THANK YOU STEPHANIE! THANK YOU FOR RECOMMENDATIONS.1
Please do not forget to start with the brainstorming. After that, put your story (experience) into a nicely organized outline divided into beginning, middle, and ending. Whenever you feel like you were lost, just refer back to the original outline you created and try not to stray away from that during the entire writing process.8
Students makes sure to:6
-Brainstorm and organize your ideas
-Stick to one tense
-Instead of using words like “good, bad, delicious ugly, pretty,” use your 5 senses to describe details
-Make sure you get your audience’s attention with a good hook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rnq17dyxyu4
Try to be concise and don’t ramble when answering the question. Also, be unique and try to show a different perspective than others in the classroom. This way your writing will be memorable and stand out from the crowd!7
In order to personalize any type of writing, I have to visualize the topic and then pick the first few things that immediately pops up in my mind. For example, if the topic were sports, I would instantly think about basketball and how much I love it. I would then focus on some specific times when I have had great memories about basketball. One time, I played basketball in the rain for over two hours because my friend and I were having an intense game that we wouldn’t even let nature break us up.9
I think it doesn’t effect on me, however if they effect on you, than no prob0
